Last day in Barcelona :-(
Today we went to see the Arc de Triomf which will mean that we would have seen a arc in al 3 cities once we have seen the one in Paris. The one next to the Colosseum is not called that though, it's called something else but I don't care it's the arc de triomf for me.
After that we wanted to go to a market we saw from the subway yesterday. It was closed unfortunately, because when your a tourist you forget that places still go on as usual and it's not open 24/7 and it was a Sunday after all.
Next we finally went to Sagrada Família which looks spectacular for the outside. Then you head inside... I wish that I was able to find the words to describe it. I wish the photos could somehow do it justice. I was in awe for about two hours straight. I just sat in the church and reflected on the magic, the feeling of something bigger than you out there, the beauty. I can tell you how spectacular the glass windows are, I can tell you how the pillars that goes to the roof of this building looks like tree branches and how every inch of this place is thought out and done with purpose, but until you experience this for yourself nothing can do it justice. My absolute favourite thing to have seen so far. I actually felt like tearing up at one point.
Went to a Cafe and had an expreso with condensed milk, and it was jummy.
We met up with JC and Steve and went to Casa Batlló and it was okay. It was not my favourite thing and it was very small. I'm sure if you went inside it would have been better, but I can tick that off my list as well. I do love Gaudi's work, he is such an amazing artist.
I wanted to go to the castle that Steve and JC had told us about with these beautiful green gardens and hedges but on the way my feet just would not go any more. I actually almost couldn't make it back to the hotel. My feet are done :-( . I hate it so much cos I feel like I don't get to experience everything like I wanted to, but I have never had normal feet. They are killing me, specially today.
