Today we got on the train to go to Palace of Versailles. We waited in a snake line for about an hour before we got in.
It's the summer Palace of Marie Antoinette and I cannot believe how she lived in such luxury while the people around her were suffering.
The palace is humongous, the paintings just as beautiful as those in the sixteen chapel if not even more beautiful.
Then you go into the gardens, it's sort of under construction, which spoiled the views, but it's still really nice to see. There are so many large fountains in the gardens, I only wish they were on when we were there.
Paris was so cold today, I only had a thin jacket on and that did not keep the cold out.
I had my first glimpse of the effil tower while on our way back. Then we got off at the wrong subway stop and walked around in the subway for about an hour. When we got out it was raining and very cold.
I did get a good deal on some souvenirs.
We had good Lebanese food tonight. Not bread. So that was really awesome.
The garden pics are quite cool, so enjoy.
